FORMULA IX is Exported in China

For the first time, the Formula IX conference took place outside of Europe. This year, the major scientific event reunited international formulators in Beijing-China from 15 to 18 October 2017.

After the success of the conference in several locations in France, Sweden, and Spain, the organizers decided to export the top formulation event to China. The location allows bringing closer international experts in the fields of battery materials, printing inks, catalysts, cosmetics, food, and pharmaceuticals. With more than 200 participants, recent progress in scientific research related to formulations has been discussed: From studying surfactants’ effects on final formulations, dispersing and structuring methods to coating process optimization and micro-encapsulation scale-up aspects.

As every year, Formulaction  SAS played an important role during the conference with 3 oral presentations treating green emulsifiers’ efficiency and stability, evaluating thermal aging of cosmetic formulations by microstructure analysis, and characterizing thermo-responsive polymer rheology by microfluidics. In addition, Formulaction has rewarded 6 promising students for their excellent poster presentations.

The French Society of Chemistry in collaboration with Formulaction has awarded Professor Jean Marie Aubry – University of Lille – with the Pierre Fillet Prize acknowledging his excellent career and inspiring contributions to formulations study both in industry and academia. His recent project focuses on the synthesis and evaluation of bio-surfactants.

Formulaction will continue to take part in the organization of the next Formula conferences as it is a wonderful event, that allows exchanging with scientific experts from around the world. We are hoping you will be joining us at the next conference in Manchester (UK).
